Kohler is not a new name in the toilet brand world. They offer quality products at amazingly competitive prices and today, we’d be going over some Kohler Cimmarron Toilet Reviews from REAL PEOPLE.

Customer Reviews for KOHLER Cimarron 2-Piece Complete Solution

  • Jane

The appearance isn’t all that great but its performance is amazing. I believe the AquaPiston flush canister makes it a class 5 flush capable unit capable of evacuating up to 1,000 grams of waste in a single flush – How cool is that?

Its price is affordable when compared to most competing brands and units on the market. Yet, it doesn’t sacrifice performance for affordability.

It offers a conservative flush that uses just 1.28 gallons of water but still manages to empty the bowl and prevent clogging.

Customer Reviews for KOHLER Cimarron

  • Matt

Hi, my name is Matt and I recommend this toilet for the following reasons:

  • It’s pretty quiet and capable of really slurping sludge
  • You can hold the handle length for a bigger flush. It will use the full 2 gallons in the tank in one flush.
  • The Aqua Piston is a fancy flapper, it lifts a tube instead of a flap.
  • Its sucker won’t clog
  • The tube curves are long and gentle so there shouldn’t be much jackknifed log trucks round the bend.
  • The seat is just fine but nothing too high-end. Yes, its just a plastic seat, nothing to see here.
  • Front to back this toilet is not standard, it protrudes into the room more than the toilet I replaced, noticeably.
  • The wax ring that comes in the box lacks a flange and it’s only 3/4″ thick you should probably buy a good one and save yourself a trip.
  • I also have the competitor’s toilet with an oversize flapper rhyme with Shumerican Blandard in my home, I prefer this toilet.
  • Refills quietly and fast. Probably going to buy another to replace that last builder-grade toilet in the basement.

I recommend this product!

  • Hannah

This toilet is relatively easy to install. Except for the water hose, the toilet came complete with all the parts including the seat and wax ring.

I wasn’t able to complete the assembly of the seat because one of the white nuts was defective. Customer service at Kohler was very understanding and nice to talk to. They registered the purchase of the toilet for me and shipped a replacement part. Wow! Such a pleasant experience.

The flush is quiet, the toilet is attractive and installation is relatively easy.

  • Micheal

The Kohler Cimarron Toilet boasts a powerful flush, looks fantastic and its installation is simple.

The only con in my experience is the fact that the seat it came with was super uncomfortable for me. I recommend buying the “KOHLER Stonewood Elongated Closed Front Toilet Seat” for $35.98.

It is very comfortable, solid, and has the soft-close feature. Pick up a new supply line and use the “Better Than Wax Universal Toilet Seal” if you prefer having the ability to reposition the toilet after placing it down.

After that, you are GOOD TO GO! The toilet is pictured with recommended seat.

Kohler Cimarron Toilet Reviews

My family and I are quite pleased with the product design and overall performance.

  • It boasts of a seat, installation, and wax ring
  • It is affordably priced
  • Uses just 1.28 GPF
  • Flush Technology: Aqua Piston
  • Seat Height: 17”
  • AquaPiston flush canister for a thorough, powerful flush
  • Comfort height seating

  • Its appearance is basic. Nothing special.
  • A two-piece design isn’t the most hygienic
  • The finish in the bowl wears off over time

Kohler Cimarron – A Quick Look

  • AquaPiston Flush Valve Class 5 Flush

I like the fact that the Kohler Cimarron is eco-friendly. It uses only 1.28 gallons of water with each flush.

A lot of toilets today offer this type of water economy, but they usually fall behind since they have a poor flushing ability. But, the Cimarron is an exception to this rule.

This toilet is armed with a special AquaPiston flush valve that releases the water quickly in 360 degrees for a powerful flush.

In fact, it’s so powerful that it comes with a class five rating, which means that it can evacuate up to 1,000 grams (2.2 pounds) of solid waste in a single flush.

  • Affordable Price, Average Appearance

Its affordable pricing is one of the greatest traits of this toilet. Compared to toilets from other big manufacturers, the Cimarron is priced very competitively yet it doesn’t sacrifice performance.

What it doesn’t offer is anything special in the appearance department. It’s not ugly, it’s just the whole average.

Of course, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. However, if you’re looking for a stylish throne to complete your bathroom, it’s probably not the Cimarron.

  • Everything You Need is Included

Toilets in the past I have installed in our home usually don’t come with some vital components. We’ve experienced this with lots of toilets over the years.

But, the Cimarron breaks this rule by including everything you need for installation, making it an even better value for the price.

It comes with the following:

  • Wax ring seat
  • All the important hardware necessary for installation
  • All of these will save you time, frustration, money, and a trip to the hardware store.
  • Not the Most Durable Finish

The Cimmarron finish looks good. Inside the bowl, the finish does a good job of preventing waste from sticking.

But, it’s not the most durable finish I have ever worked with. After several years of use and regular cleaning, the finish in the bowl can start to wear off, resulting in more waste sticking. You won’t really notice the worn finish unless you’re looking hard for it, but if you clean your toilet regularly, you’ll probably notice it starting to wear out faster.

Is the Flush Strong Enough To Do Away With Large Waste?

The Cimmarron class five flush is powerful and strong enough to evacuate up to 2.2. pounds/1,000 grams of solid waste in a single flush.

Is the Cimarron ADA Compliant?

The Kohler Cimarron is 100% ADA compliant. It also meets all the criteria for the EPA WaterSense certification.

Is there a Warranty Protecting the Kohler Cimarron?

Yes. The Cimarron comes with a one-year limited warranty.

What the Users Say according to a Survey

We’re quite confident in the opinions we got from family, friends, and our own. But, we also understand that we need to get more opinions from people online and others living in our neighborhood. So, we did that.

We scoured reviews, forums, Facebook communities, and anywhere that people were espousing their opinions of the Kohler Cimarron, and this is what we discovered.

A lot of users had complaints about the toilets they have had installed in their home but after trying Cimarron were very satisfied with the result.

One of the issues it solved for them was flushing large solid waste, which many users admitted to being a problem in their previous toilets.

Plenty of people claimed that family members had the largest waste they’ve seen, but that the Cimarron was perfectly capable of flushing it with ease. These users often said that they never had to unclog their Cimarron, where they were constantly unclogging previous toilets.

On the flip side, some users who have owned several reputable brands of toilets over the years complained about the longevity of the finish in the bowl. They showed [with images] that after several uses and many cleanings, the finish in the bowl began to wear off.

Once this happens, waste began to slowly stick to those areas.

Common praise for the Kohler Cimarron is its affordability. Lots of people preferred it over several other competing models because of its high performance yet affordable price.

Besides, more than 95% of users seemed pleased at the inclusion of the necessary installation hardware, wax ring, and seat. Though some users weren’t happy that the seat wasn’t a soft closing seat. There were also several complaints about the seat breaking when someone sat on it while it was closed.

In the end, you’d agree with me that the Kohler Cimarron represents an affordable toilet that boasts of a powerful flush punching beyond its price.

Took about an hour to install due to prep work tank has a bracket on the bottom for bolts no holes in the tank. Flushing system is great, very powerful. The price is right for this product. Liked it so much that I bought a second one for another bathroom.

You’ll get a very average-appearing toilet with the Kohler Cimarron, but you won’t be spending time unclogging it regularly. It comes in a comfortable height for anyone who has a hard time with shorter toilets. But the finish in the bowl may begin to wear over time.
